Stampin' Up Halloween Muslin Treat Bags

Article from Stampin' Up Blog here, written by Christina N, Stampin' Up Concept Artist:

Christina made an iron-on transfer sheet with My Digital Studio.  First, she selected a stamp from MDS’s Halloween Bash Stamp Brush Set and colored it in. Then, Christina mirrored the image in MDS (the image needs to be backwards for it to work with the iron-ons). Next, she printed the images onto iron-on sheets, ironed them to the Mini Muslin Bags, then peeled off the backing.

Christina put treats inside, finished them off with some filler that resembles straw—and was done.  Easy peasy.

Stampin' Up Decorative Window Box with the Halloween "Best of " Stamp Set

The below Article was posted yesterday (August 7th) on the stampin' up blog; it was written by Stampin' Up concept artist, Christina N - I LOVE the boxes she made!

Give the Littles Something Sweet!

Every year at Halloween I love to give all of my nieces and nephews a treat, and it’s always wrapped up especially for them. Since the August “Best of” stamp set is “Best of Halloween,” it’s the perfect opportunity for me to get started early this year.

I love that there are three main images, a border, and a greeting in the stamp set. Since the main images are about the same size, it was easy to come up with a design that worked for all of them.   I used the new Decorative Window Gift Boxes since they are small and all of my nieces and nephews are still very little.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Halloween Witch Card - Stampin Up Contest Winner!

I just have to brag about my sideline, Leslie Irvin.  She submitted this card to Stampin' Up for their monthly contest and won!!  She is so talented; a true artist!  Leslie used the Bootiful Occasions and Jack of all Trades stamp sets.  She submitted this for the "Bling It" contest and you can see, she really blinged it!  I love how she added glitter to the bubbles, added Rhinestones, then added Pearls too.  Colors of cardstock are Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, and Tangerine Tango.    Leslie used the Oval Accents Bigz Die to create the cauldron, then ran it through the Chevron Embossing Folder for texture.  And don't you love how she added the witch's hair and used tulle and ribbon for the dress -   Enjoy!

Halloween "Bootiful" Card and Tricky Treats Goody Bag

Here's the card I made for a Halloween swap.  I used the Bootiful Occasions and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets as well as the Distressed Dots background stamp.  Cardstock colors are Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, and Basic Black.  I added some character by running the background cardstock through the Spider Web Embossing Folder then sponged it with Daffodil Delight classic ink.  Finally, I added some bling to the boot by using Rhinestones and Dazzling Details glitter glue!

And here's a Halloween Treat Bag my fellow Demonstrator, Donna Rolston, made using the "Box in a Bag" technique. She used Tangerine DSP from the Brights DSP Stack and accented that with Basic Gray cardstock. She stamped the ghost in Basic Gray classic ink (from the Tricky Treats stamp set). Donna used the Curly Label punch, the Lace border punch (retired), and the Tag punches. She added gray Glimmer Brads and the super cute Googly Eyes for that extra touch!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Googly Ghouls Halloween Treat Holder

When I was looking through Shelli Gardner's Blog (www.soshelli.com), I saw these GREAT Halloween Treat Holders.  She made them using 2 die cuts from the Petite Pocket Big Shot Die; she adhered them together at the seams to form a pocket.  She stamped the images with the Googly Ghouls Stamp Set.  That's about all the info she gave about how she made the them, but feel free to contact me if you need more details.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Personal Note:  I want to that all of you who left me such kind words from my last post; especially Carol, Suzanne, and Cheryl.  I appreciate the prayers and the patience!

Stampin' Up Halloween Treat Holder made using the Petite Purse Die

Here's the last Stampin' Up Tutorial for this week; it's a great Halloween Treat Holder made from the Petite Purse Die and textured with the Chevron Embossing Folder.

Have a great weekend and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

PERSONAL Note:  I'm still working on my husband's last project, and I hope to be done by the middle of September.  Projects always end up taking longer than you think!  Last week was really difficult because it was his Birthday and the 3-month mark of his passing away.  I can tell you I cried rivers of tears last week.  Going to a weekly grief group is the only thing keeping me sane.  It helps to know that what I'm feeling is "normal".  So, thanks again to all of you who have prayed for me and who've taken the time to leave me lovely comments!

Here is a sample of the great HALLOWEEN Kit in the Holiday Mini on page 27. As an added decorative touch I put the skull on a Stampin Dimensional, added Dazzling Diamonds, and added the ruffle around the tag using the new 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon on page 26 (item #127837). The bag was easy and quick to put together - I fit 3 pieces of the fun sized candy inside the bag - yummy!

And speaking of Halloween..... Halloween Treat Holder using the Stampin Up Petite Pocket Die

My upline, Carol Gilmore, made these adorable treat holders for her downline!  We got them at the Stampin Up Regional here in Albuquerque last Saturday.  It's great to get a fun treat and get to be around other Stampin Up demonstrators!

Carol die cut a Pumpkin Pie pocket using the Bigz XL Petite Pocket Die then she decorated it using the Perfect Penants Die in Old Olive and Basic Black.  Carol then stamped a couple of images using the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and punched them out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  Finally, she tied some Olive and Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon around the pocket and put some treats inside it.  And, of course, she used Sticky Strip to adhere the pocket together!

Have a great week and thanks for visiting!

New 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags decorated for Halloween & Breast Cancer Awareness

I made these for my Hostess Club members.  I still have more to make, but they are fast to put together, so it won't take me too long!  I used glitter and Heat and Stick Powder on all three toppers. I even used the awesome Red Glimmer Paper for the Heart Disease Awareness topper; I wish we had glimmer paper in more colors!

I filled the Breast Cancer Awareness and Heart Disease Awareness bags with M&M's and I filled the halloween bag with candy corn; they worked great!  I sponged around the edges of the halloween and Breast Cancer toppers, but I don't think it really shows up in the pictures.

Also, have you been to the Clearance Rack in the online store lately? There are some great deals on discontinued Stampin’ Up! products. Check them out here; and don't forget to select me as your Demonstrator when you order at Stampin' Up's online store!  Thanks for stopping by!

Spooky Treat Box

Hi all! A fellow demonstrator showed how to make this box at the Phoenix, AZ Stampin Up Regional I attended in January. I'm sorry I don't remember who it was, but I love the box because it closes flat so you can mail it! The box that was demonstrated was smaller, so my sideline, Eva Davalos, came up with the measurements for a box that would be 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" so it could hold 3x3 cards or candy.

This is the top of the box; I used the Wicked Cool Stamp Set and the Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper. I don't know if you can see it, but to get the "bling", I added Dazzling Diamonds to the main image after I punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. To make the box closure, I punched out a 3/4" circle and attached it to the box using a silver brad. Finally, after distressing the top layers, I added 1/8" Olive Taffeta Ribbon to the top of the box and the hat.

This is the inside of the box; like I said, it's great for holding 3x3 cards or yummy candy!

These are the templates for the inside box portion and the outside box wrap. You can click on the image to enlarge it so you can see the measurements.
These pictures show where you'll need to attach Sticky Strip to the inside box before adhering it to the box wrap. The first picture is the back (or bottom) of the box and the second picture is the inside (or top) of the box where you'll be putting candy. You can see that on the back of the box, only the bottom and 2 flaps get adhesive.
Thanks for looking and email me if you have any questions!

This picture shows what the inside of the box looks like once it's adhered to the box wrap.
