Elements of Style 5x5 Card

This is the other card my customers made at my Open House last weekend. The Elements of Style stamp set is beautiful and versatile! I didn't add ribbon to this project because I didn't want to cover any part of the image. And you can't see it well, but the card is sprayed with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. It is really a lovely, classic card. Sponging around the card base, hummingbird, and saluation really added some depth. I was thinking of distressing the edges, but I knew that would take more time, so I left it as is.

Ingredients: Elements of Style stamp set, Soft Suede, Cameo Coral, and Mellow Moss classic ink, Cameo Coral and Summer Sun markers, Soft Suede, Cameo Coral, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Blender Pen, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Designer Label Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Earth Elements Brads, SNAIL, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Let me know if you have any questions and Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Great Friends Card

I was looking at cards I made this past year and this was one of my favorites; I used it for an Open House. I was thinking that I'm glad Stampin' Up! decided to keep Rich Razzleberry, but I just wish they had decided to bring back Kiwi Kiss between those 2 colors are beautiful together! I got this layout from my upline, Carol Gilmore; thanks Carol!

Ingredients: Great Friends stamp set, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Whisper White cardstock, Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum classic ink, Bit Shot Machine, Scallop Oval Bigz Die, Little Leaves Sizzlet Die, Gold Brads, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, and SNAIL. I also used 2-Way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter because you've got to have some bling!

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

I was watching the movie Julie and Julia and remembered that I had made this card for a swap last year. I just love this little guy and the colors I used! I used the Slit Punch to make the semi circles for the Green Galore brads and I did a bit of paper piecing with the chef's outfit and tray.

Retiring Colors Going FAST!

THIS IS WHAT STAMPIN' UP SAID ABOUT THE RETIRING COLORS:

"For re-inkers in retiring colors, as we run out, they will be placed on backorder status and those orders will be filled as quickly as we receive the product. We will continue to do this to the best of our ability through May, and then the re-inkers will be available while supplies last in June.

Card stock presents a bit larger problem, as the process of ordering and producing new paper from the paper mills is very involved, and we can't order significant quantities at this point in time without putting the production of the new colors in jeopardy (and we know you want those!). To help us be able to provide you with the card stock in the retiring colors for as long as possible, we will be substituting textured paper for some of the smooth colors--including card stock in 8-1/2" x 11" as well as 12" x 12"--where the smooth is no longer available. You will notice these colors go on backorder, and we will be filling as many of those as possible with textured card stock. Because the demand for each color varies, we are unable to provide a list of what colors of card stock will be substituted with textured, or at what point that will happen. However, if you receive a package of card stock that is textured instead of smooth, there will be a sticker on the package indicating that change."

Basically, retiring color paper and ink will be available while supplies last, so be certain to order what you need as soon as you can so you don't miss out on getting what you want! Contact me to place an order or go to http://www.stampinup.com to place your order; when you go online be certain to select me as your demonstrator in order to receive the "preferred princing." Thanks!
