Stampin' Up My Digital Studio Downloads

I realized that I haven't posted MDS Downloads in some time and I know there are some of you who like to view them in this format.  Below are downloads from August and September 2012.  You can view more details about them by week here or learn more about My Digital Studio Software here

Also, the company that handles my Email Subscriptions (Feedburner) seemed to be having some problems this past week, so if you tried signing up for email and haven't be able to get "verified", please try again.  Have a great week!

Googly Ghouls Halloween Treat Holder

When I was looking through Shelli Gardner's Blog (www.soshelli.com), I saw these GREAT Halloween Treat Holders.  She made them using 2 die cuts from the Petite Pocket Big Shot Die; she adhered them together at the seams to form a pocket.  She stamped the images with the Googly Ghouls Stamp Set.  That's about all the info she gave about how she made the them, but feel free to contact me if you need more details.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Personal Note:  I want to that all of you who left me such kind words from my last post; especially Carol, Suzanne, and Cheryl.  I appreciate the prayers and the patience!

Stampin' Up Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner's, new Adventure!

The Brick Canvas at Thanksgiving Point is Shelli's new venture and WOW does it sound great! I am really jealous of you who live in Utah and can take advantage of this wonderful facility!

The facility is scheduled to open on October 1, 2012 and it offers Bikram Yoga, a full service Spa, a hair salon (yes, the folks who currently cut Shelli's hair!), personal training & nutrition counseling, and a light eats cafe.   You can read what Shelli wrote about Brick Canvas here on her blog: http://soshelli.com/so-shelli-blog/2012/9/8/another-dream-come-true.html

I wish I could go and get some help! Since my husband passed away a few months ago, my thoughts have been everywhere and one area has been my well being. I've been thinking that I really want to start going to Bikram Yoga; my niece and nephew just love it!   I feel like I'm a stranger in my own life and don't know where to start to "find" myself.  For the past 16+ years, my plans included my husband and now who am I and what do I want.  I don't have any answers yet.

So thanks for bearing with me and I should be back to stamping next week.  If you've kept up with my blog, you'll remember that I talked about needing to finish my husband's last project and I should be able to this week.  Then time to find a paying job; I've been taking care of my mother for the past 6 years since she became paralyzed and I need a full-time income now.  We've been looking to find someone to help with her, so I could go to work.  It feels like I'm abandoing my child!  Take care and "see" you soon!

Tweet Leaves Card with the Autumn Accents Die

I made this card for a swap using the "spotlighting" technique.  I really wanted the CUTE birdie to be the focus so I punched him out and layered him, then colored the image using Stampin Write Markers.  I ran the background cardstock piece through the Woodgrain Embossing folder then sponged on it to highlight the woodgrain.  Finally, I die cut the leaves, crunched them up, and sponged around them too.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Tweet Leaves and Teeny Tiny Wishes (a great versatile stamp set!).
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake.
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Markers: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red.
Accessories: Big Shot (a must have!), Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Circles #2 Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, 1/8" Daffodil taffeta ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals, SNAIL, and Stampin Sponges.

I hope you liked the card and thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up's Kraft Boxes and Scentsational Season Stamp Set

Here's another project my friend Eva Davalos created using SU's Kraft Boxes and the new Scentsational Season Stamp Set and Framelits.  She made little 3"x3" Christmas tags to go into the decorated Kraft Box.  The box has the new Cherry Cobbler Tulle Ribbon around it and the top is decorated with snowflakes die cut from the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die.

Here's a Stampin Up Tutorial showing you another way to decorate one of the Kraft Boxes using Fabric.  I can't believe it's time to think about Christmas when it's still over 90 degrees outside!

Stampin Up's Perfectly Preserved Recipe Page

Here's an 8" x 8" recipe page my sideline, Eva Davalos, designed.  She used a bunch of new items in the Holiday Mini Catalog: the Woodgrain Embossing Folder (item #127821), the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set, the Cannery Set Framelits (item #127822), the Window Frames Framelets (item #129021), the 7/8" Cotton Ribbon (item #127844), and the Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons (item #127833).  Cardstock she used is Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, and Summer Starfruit.

The really great thing about the Stampin' Up 2012 Holiday Catalog is that there are BUNDLES with a 15% discount.  So when you buy the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and the Cannery Framelits together, you get 15% off both!  Take a look at the Holiday Catalog HERE and start shopping and saving HERE!  As usual, be certain to select me as your Demonstrator when you log into, or create, your Online Account to take advantage of Preferred Pricing and my Frequent Shopper Rewards Program.
