Last Day for May Specials and JUNE 1st lists!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Just a reminder that today is the last day to order from the May Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Special.  I really think you'll love the Word Play Stamp Set!  You can order ONLINE here by clicking on "Shop Now" and don't forget to check the CLEARANCE RACK while you're there for more GREAT values!!

Also, don't forget to check back tomorrow, JUNE 1st, for the RETIRING Stamp Set list and RETIRING Accessories list!  The stamp sets will be available to order until June 30th, but the Accessories are only available to order WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!  So, make sure to order fast!

I know, who believes or likes the order fast push!  Personally, I really hate the "used car salesmen"  type of hard sell, but I've been around SU long enough to learn that if there's something retiring that I really want, I better order fast!

Thanks for visiting and feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Fabulous Florets Stamp Set Card

I love the Reinker technique and this stamp set is perfect for the job!  This technique works best with outline images like this Fabulous Florets stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog.  It also works great with the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set and the Awash with Flowers stamp set.  You MUST use Stampin' Up's Shimmery White paper for this technique to really look good!

I used Daffodil Delight and Peach Parfait on all the flowers and I added just a bit of Poppy Parade to the small flower I layered on top of the large flower on the right - to make it stand out more.  For me, each of my cards is like a little work of art, and even though I didn't need to add cut out leaves, it added a little to the image, so I just had to take the extra time!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Fabulous Florets and Word Play (on sale this month - 30% off!).
Cardstock:  Shimmery White Specialty Paper, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, and Pear Pizzazz.
Ink: Versa Mark, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black ink pads; Dallodil Delight, Peach Parfait, and Poppy Parade ink refills.
Accessories: 1/8" Daffodil taffeta, Scallop Corner punch, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Black Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Embossing Buddy, Powder Pals, and Paper Snips.

Happy Wednesday and thanks for visiting!

Flower Garden Embossing Folder Card

I was channeling fellow demonstrator Becky Roberts when I made this card.  I loved how she used the carryover Big Shot Die Tasteful Trim to create layers on one of her cards.  So, I put a 1" x 12" piece of the new Beyond the Garden DSP on the die to get the strip I needed.  You can cut 12 strips from 1 sheet of 12x12 Designer Paper to make 12 cards - great use of paper!  I cut the strip into 3 pieces, and gave them a curl using my bone folder, then layered them on my card.  Cardstock colors: Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.

I then added a punched out flower using the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Punch; I layered it with Stampin Dimensionals and used Dazzling Diamonds between the layers.  I used the new Fabulous Florets stamp set to stamp a couple of leaves for the flower.  I embossed the flower image using the new Flower Garden Embossing Folder and stamped the phrase using the new Happy Greetings stamp set.  I finished the card off with Dazzling Diamonds on the base of each embossed flower and sprayed the top portion of the card with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz for some beautiful bling!

Hope you like the card and thanks for visiting!  You can purchase any of the products I used on this card by going to www.stampinup.com and selecting me as your Demonstrator when you create your Online Account!    And don't forget about my Frequent Shopper Program.

Apologies......

Sorry to everyone visiting!  My mom was having some problems this week and I just didn't have it in me to post anything.  Some of you know that my mom is paralyzed and I'm her primary caretaker.  She's better now, so I'll restart posting ASAP and if you can, please include my mom in your prayers!  Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Sail Away Stamp Set

I was thinking of making this card into a Father's Day card, but I used the "friend to friend" stamp instead (from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set).  Any expression from this stamp set woould work great on this card!  Also, thanks to fellow demonstrator Mary Fish for the color scheme and boat layering ideas!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sail Away (Summer Mini Catalog) and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espress, Whisper white, and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot Machine, Word Window Punch, Crop-a-dile, Cherry/White Bakers twine (Summer Mini Catalog), Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets, SNAIL, Dimensionals, and Sticky Strip.

Happy Stamping and have a great week!  Also, comments are always appreciated and really needed!  Is anyone out there?!  I need some motivation!

Word Play Stamp Set with Beyond the Garden DSP

I needed a birthday card for my aunt, so I came up with these 2 cards.  I couldn't decide which flower placement I liked more; the overlapping or the staggering.  Which do you like better and which color do you like better?

Besides the Word Play stamp set (that's 30% discounted this month! - see sale flyer here) and the new Beyond the Garden Designer Series paper (in the Summer Mini Catalog), I used the Fun Flowers XL Die for the flowers and the Little Leaves sizzlet die for the leaves.  On the first card, I used Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo cardstock and on the second card, I used Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi cardstock.  I used the scallop edge border punch on the background strip.  Finally, you can't see it well, but the "I" and star were glittered up using 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds.

Thanks for visiting and happy Wednesday!

Word Play Stamp Set "Quickie" Card

Since the stamp set Word Play is on sale this month (at 30% discount! - see the May Sale flyer on my sidebar and below posted on April 29th) and I needed a quick wedding card, I pulled out the set and the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and made this card.  I used Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla cardstock and embellished with Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon and a Rhinestone.  Then I used Mini Glue Dots a couple of places on the bow to give the tails a "lifted" look.  Finally, I sprayed the card with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% Rubbing Alcohol.

It took me 15 minutes to make the card; just enough time to get it to my husband before he left to deliver it out-of-town!   And anyway, the important part of this card is the gift inside!  Have a great Monday and thanks for visiting!
