NEW CATALOG OPEN HOUSE

These are the projects people made at my Open House:

This card uses the beautiful Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and the butterflies cut and embossed by the Beautiful Wings Embosslit; these really enhance the image in a great and simple way! We added some shine to the butterflies by sponging them with Champagne Mist shimmer paint; it gave them a beautiful glimmer! This should have been a quick and easy project, but I think I frustrated a couple of folks by not sanding the backs of the Designer Label hardware ahead of time, the glue dots and dimensionals weren't sticking properly - sorry! Sanding the backs really made a difference.

This little pizza box was a hit; everything was punched out - no cutting! The images were easy to stamp and the papers are beautiful; who doesn't love Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper! My pizza box is 3.5"x3.5" (instead of 4x4) because I didn't want my 3"x3" cards moving around too much in the box.

And Finally, each person who attended received these Color Charts I stamped and prepared the night before. I think these really help people see the cardstock, marker, and ink pad in a great way!

Well, thanks for looking and contact me if you have any questions or would like to order any of the products for these great projects!

Bouquet Bunch Card

I made this card for a swap I'm in. I think they call this a "color blocking" technique, but I'm not sure. I cut out the leaf bunch and adhered it using a Stampin Dimensional. I also adhered the Olive oval sizzlet image and the entire block image using Dimensionals.

The ingredients:
Stamps: Bouquet Bunch, Sanded
Cardstock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Chocolate Chip
Ink: Early Espresso pad, Old Olive pad, Soft Suede pad, Delightful Daffodil marker, Old Olive marker, and Certainly Celery marker.
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Blender Pen, Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, natural hemp, Big Shot Machine, Lots of Tags sizzlet.

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Where am I?

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been incommunicado; I've been busy with my mom. Some of you know that my "full time" job is taking care of my paralyzed mother. I'm going on 4 years and my back is wearing out! We were back in the hospital due to some bladder issues. Now we're home and hopefully things will clear up! I've been trying to do some late spring cleaning too. Gosh, I'm always amazed at how much stuff I can accumulate!

I've been clearing stuff out to get ready for the NEW Stampin Up year!! The new catalog is filled with great new stamp sets and accessories! I've let some of you know that you can pick up a catalog this weekend; just give me a call first. Well, next week I should be able to start stamping again - yippee! Thanks for visiting and hope to "see" you next week!

Pretty Amazing Note Holder

This gorgeous note holder was designed by my upline, Carol Gilmore, for one of her Stamp Camps I helped with. This project used the stamp set Pretty Amazing (now retired) and you can purchase it from me; see the June 8th blog entry below. This project was from several years ago when Stampin Up sold Purely Pomegranate and Groovy Guava. But I think the current Cherry Cobbler and Peach Parfait would work great! The file folder is made out of Celery Designer Patterned Paper. The humingbird and flower centers were glittered with Fine Cosmo celery glitter.

Thanks for looking and if you buy the Pretty Amazing stamp set from me, I'll send along the instructions for making this project!
