Easter Bunny Basket made with Stampin Up Punches & Dies

Below are most of the items I used to make this project.  I saw this adorable basket on our SU Demonstrator website and had to make one of my own! The little basket idea came from SU's Regional in January and how great an idea to add a bunny to it; thanks fellow demonstrator Dawn Griffin for that!  I used Whisper White and Blushing Bride cardstock, with Basic Black cardstock for the eyes.

The most important trick to making this look really cute is the sponging!  I sponged Blushing Bride ink on everything; the ears, face, cheeks, nose, and mouth.  The other trick is to put the cheeks on the face using Stampin Dimensionals (foam dots) to give them lift; attach the mouth to the back of the cheeks so it doesn't sit flat on the heart face.  I used the 3/4" circle punch for the eyes and nose, the 1 3/8" circle punch for the cheeks, and the 1/2" punch for the mouth.  Below you can see that I used the Blossoms Petal punch (item #121808) for the ears, the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch (item #119275) for the handle, the Scallop Square Bigs Clear die (item #115950) for the basket, and the Heart Framelits dies (item #125599) for the bunny face; I used the 3rd framelit counting from the largest to the smallest.

For the basket, I scored the Scallop Square using the scallops as a guIde.  You can see in the photo above that I scored at 2 scallops from both ends on the horizontal side and at 3 scallops from both ends on the vertical, then cut slits up to the score line as shown.  I used Sticky Strip to put the basket together and attached the handle using Mini Silver Brads (item #122941); the handle is 8" long.   The final touch is a cute bow made with Pink Pirouette 3/8" taffeta ribbon (item #122981).  I filled the basket with jelly beans I put in a Small Cello Baggie (item #103104 - 3"x5").

Well, I hope you like my version and don't forget that today is the LAST day to order and get SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIES!  Let me know if you need more info.  Have a great weekend!

Stampin Up Video Tutorial showing how to make a Fabulous Folds Card

If you want a challenge, watch this Stampin' Up! video and make this card! The card is awesome, but be patient. I tried making this card without the video tutorial and I must say, it's a lot easier after you've watched the video!

Bordering on Romance Card and Card Box Video Tutorial

Here's the card and card box I made using the Bordering on Romance Stamp Set (wood - #125480 or clear - 125482) and the SU Labels Framelits (item #125598) and Edgelits (item #125595) from the current Occasions Mini Catalog.  I LOVE how these turned out!  I used Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, and Shimmer White cardstock; also used the 2010 In Color DSP paper pack.   For the finishing touches, I added some Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon (item #122331), Pearls (item #119247) and a Key Trinket (item #121892).  I stamped the flowers using Black Stazon then colored them using Not Quite Navy and Pear Pizzazz classic ink and an Aqua Painter (I wanted to keep the colors simple).

I learned how to make the card box by watching this Stampin Up video featuring Carrie Cudney (LOVE her!):

Stampin Up Masculine Card Samples

Wow - I can't believe it's already Friday! Besides taking care of my paralyzed mother, I work some during tax season to make money for fun stuff like attending Stampin' Up's annual Demonstrator's Convention.  Tax season is in full swing and I'm swamped right now (and I'm a little worried leaving mom alone)!  I'm behind on everything (including cleaning the house)!

But, on to the fun stuff!  My friend Eva asked if I'd seen some nice masculine cards and I just drew a blank, so I went to the Stampin' Up! website and looked under card samples and found these I thought I'd share with you too!

You can find the supplies for this project here.

Sweet Cake Stamp Set Tag

Happy Wednesday everyone!  This is a really cute tag designed by my sideline, Eva Davalos, to show off the great new Sweet Shop Product Suite in the current mini catalog!  It has the 5 new Baker's Twine: Lucky Limeade #125572, Calypso Coral #125573, Pool Party #125574, Island Indigo #125575, and Wisteria Wonder #125576.  It has the new Jelly Bean Epoxy Brads #125587 as the "cherry" on top of the cupcake.  And the tag shows off the new Sweet Cake stamp set (wood #125490 or clear #125492) and the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper (item #125408).

The tag is made with Soft Suede cardstock and measures 4" x 5 1/2"; she used the Pinking Hearts Border punch on the bottom edge.  The other cardstock on the tag is Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder.  She embossed the cupcake using VersaMark ink and Clear Embossing powder onto Soft Suede cardstock then cut it out and added it to the Tag using Stampin' Dimensionals.

As a final touch, she added some cute Mini Brads, Rhinestones, and a heart cut from the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.  Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Sweet Floral Background Stamp on Composition Book

This is the prettiest journal anyone would love to receive!  My uplline, Carol Gilmore, was the inspiration for this beautiful project!  This Composition Book measures 9 3/4" x 7 1/2".  We used Rose Red and Wild Wasabi markers to ink up the Sweet Floral Stamp (item #122855); it was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 5" x 6" and this was layered onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 6 1/2".  Then we die cut some butterflies from Rose Red and Very Vanilla cardstock using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit (item # 118138) and glued them on using Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)..

We decorated the back with a piece of Basic Black cardstock and we die cut a strip of Basic Black for the "fringe" on the front of the book using the Tasteful Trim XL Die (item #120893).  We ran the Very Vanilla cardstock pieces under the finge through the Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder (you can get this for FREE as a Salea-Bration benefit!).  We used the Decorative Label punch (item # 120907) to make the "Friend" accent, but you could die cut an initial or die cut some flowers; the options are endless!  The Rose Red cardstock ribbon hanging from the accent measures 1 3/8" x 3" and the Very Vanilla cardstock ribbon measures 1" x 3 1/2".  We just used our Paper Snips (item # 103579) to cut the slits at the ends.

To beautify the "Friend" accent piece, we used the Boho Blossom Punch (item #119858) to make the Rose Red cardstock flower and attached it with a Stampin' Dimensional (item # 104430).  To stamp the accent image, we used the Four Frames Stamp Set (item #123440 wood or #123442 clear), the Charming Stamp Set (item #116519 wood or #125829 clear), and the You're a Gem stamp set (item #122268 wood or #122270 clear).  For the finishing touch, we added some Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon (item #119261) and Basic Pearls (item #119247).

Have a great week and contact me if you have any questions!
