In Colors Soon to Retire!

I wanted to share this card I made for a swap. The Designer Series Paper is adhered onto the card flat and all the other layers are adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhering with Dimensionals made a big difference to the appearance of the card. I'm going to be sad to see Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango retire!

Card ingredients are: Dreams du Jour Stamp Set; Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and Soft Suede cardstock; Razzleberry Designer Paper; Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry Classic Ink; Scallop Border and Scallop Corner punches; 1 3/4" Circle Punch; Big Shot Machine and Pennant XL Die and Circles #2 Die; Vintage Brads; Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon; Blender Pen; Paper Piercer; and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Please email me if you have any questions and thanks for looking!

It's almost over!

Hi everyone! Well my "tax season" is almost over - thank goodness! I haven't been able to post the way I'd like to because I've been busy working on a couple of year end financials and a couple of tax returns. Since my cornea transplants, I'm only able to prepare a couple versus the many, many I used to be able to prepare! So, now that I'm soon to finish, I'll be able to start stamping again and am I happy! So, be sure to check back after April 15th and I'll have more projects posted. Thanks for visiting!

SU COLOR RENOVATION!!

Click here to print the Retiring Color flyer

WOW! What an exciting time for Stampin' Up!, its customers, and its demonstrators! Stampin' Up! just announced that it has decided to make a Color Renovation that results in 30 colors being retired, 5 new colors being added, and 10 "In Colors" returning permanently. For example, SU has brought back River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and more! Above is the New Color Collections chart showing the new color "families" with the new colors and returning "in colors". The Color Renovation/changes will begin with the new catalog release - July 1, 2010. Also above is a list of the colors that will be retiring, so make sure you stock up on your favorite colors before they're gone! These retiring colors will only be available until June 30, 2010. I'll be posting more information soon!
UPDATE: Don't forget that with the release of the new Idea Book and Catalog on July 1, 2010, there will be a new group of "In Colors". Stampin' Up will offer 5 new in colors that will be available for 2 years (rather than the 1 year now). Yippee! I can't wait to see these other new colors too!

Card and Nugget Gift Box

This is the second part of my gift set; don't you just love this cute gift card holder! The box has 3 sections and holds 4 3x3 cards with envelops and 3 chocolate nuggets. Come to my next class and you'll get to make this gift box and the CD gift tin! I used a Stampin' Up medium Window Sheet as a slider to go around the box then used Stampin' Up's elastic cording to hold the slider on. I got the idea for the box at Becky Robert's website; thanks Becky!

Stampin Up supplies I used are: Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, Whisper White paper, Pumpkin Pie paper, Rich Razzleberry paper, Melon Mambo paper, Pumpkin grosgrain ribbon, Rose Red grosgrain ribbon, mini white envelopes, Rich Razzleberry classic ink, Big Shot Machine, Stampin Up Matchbox XL Die, Stampin Up's new Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Circle and Scallop Circle Punches, and the Great Friends stamp set. Thanks for looking!

Decorated CD Tin

Hi to all! This is a CD tin that I decorated and used as a gift card holder. You can purchase these CD tins on the Stampin' Up website Clearance Rack. I adhered 2 mini white envelopes inside the tin to hold the restaurant gift card and 2 movie tickets (you know, the "dinner and a movie" gift). I used the Scallop Circle Punch to make the large flower on the lid of the tin. I punched 5-6 flowers then scrunched them up and layered them to form the flower. The small flowers were made using the Trio Flower Punch and scrunched and layered the same way. I used the Stampin' Up! Little Leaves Sizzlet to punch out the leaves. I used the Great Friend stamp set, Pumpkin Pie paper, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, the Stampin' Up XL Matchbox die, the new Stampin' Up Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, Melon Manbo ink and paper, and Sticky Strip. The second picture shows the belly bank next to the tin. We'll be making this at my next Club get together! Email me if you have any questions and thanks for looking!
