Stampin' Up Retro Fresh Card Gift Set

I saw this a little while ago and forgot to post it.  It gives you instructions on how to put together a Pocket Cards Gift Set.  It was created and designed by Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team member Connie Collins - from Stampin' Up blog HERE:

Pocket-style scrapbooking isn’t really a new thing, but it has gained popularity over the past few years. Essentially it is the same thing as color-blocking. Connie thought it would be fun to create a custom gift set using the Retro Fresh Suite (US/CA) by Stampin’ Up!

Here’s a pattern for the 8 -1/2" x 11" cardstock.

Here’s a pattern for the 6" x 12" cardstock.

You should end up with something that looks like this.  Connie used the Chevron and the new Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to emboss some of the smaller cards.

Next, Connie went wild stamping and die cutting anything that was related to the theme. Some of the stamp sets she used included Peachy Keen, Starburst Sayings, and Just Sayin’.

Connie used Soft Suede Cardstock to make a box to put everything in.

Connie put the stamped and die cut images into Cellophane Bags; then she added coordinating Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi Tape, Linen Thread, and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally Connie decorated the lid to give it the perfect finishing touch.

Here’s what it looked like when she was finished.

You don’t have to use the Retro Fresh Suite; try this pocket-style scrapbooking technique with any of the fabulous coordinated suites by Stampin’ Up.

Also, my email subscriber program has been encountering problems; hopefully, I've fixed them.  Let me know if you should have gotten an email and didn't.  Thank you!

UPDATE:  Peachy Keen stamp set and On Film Framelits:  Okay, got a correction for you here.  The camera framelit should be used as follows in order to stamp the camera onto it.  Since the camera framelit is solid, you can't stamp it then die cut the image.  Instead, you'll need to die cut the camera image from your cardstock first, then using your Stamp-a-ma-Jig, ink up the camera stamp and stamp onto the die cut image.  Or you could die cut the image, ink up the stamp and place it on your desk upside down, then place the die cut image onto the stamp and press for the image.  The Stamp Set and Framelits really are awesome, so don't despair, just an extra little step to get a really CUTE camera image!
